Thinking about getting a part-time job to help ends meet? Bet on yourself!

As we look for ways to generate additional income to support our families, we are big advocates of becoming an entrepreneur and starting a business.  It accomplishes two goals; it helps build our economy and it provides for an additional source of income for yourself.  In fact, many small business owners end up leaving full time jobs to focus in on something that makes them happy and feeds their family without the stress of having a boss.

When it comes to this, bet on yourself.  Is there something that you do well or have you provided a service in the past to a friend or family member who calls on you often?  Maybe you've been told you make the best cookies or cupcakes or perhaps you have a knack for organizing a party and have thought about starting a party planning business.  There are so many things that we're good at but don't give it a second thought to how it can help us enrich our lives.

Sure, money may be needed to start up a small side hustle but there are some smaller ticket items you do have control over such as setting up a free social media account such as Facebook, creating a business name, and ordering business cards and handing them out.  It's free to market yourself this way.  Since your skill is already in place, its a matter of getting the word out and finding out if you need a license for what you do.

If an additional $250 to $500 a month would help with bills and expenses, why not give it some thought?   It beats making $12 an hour doing something you aren't passionate about.
