One very important aspect that many small business owners skip is the importance of testimonials.  I you have less than 2 minutes, this quick read will help grow your business.


Step outside the box for a second.


If you look at how we judge where we eat, shop, or how we choose a hotel, the first order of business is to see how many good or bad reviews that particular establishment got.  Usually, if it's over 3 and a half stars, it's worth a shot. Below that and you are taking a chance but well aware that it may not meet your expectations.  Sometimes decisions are purely financially driven.  We get that.

A quick tip on how to get a good review.

If you are a relatively new business owner, give your clients the attention they deserve. In the beginning, keep the communication high, make sure that you respond back to a question or inquiry within 48 hours, and most importantly, deliver what you promised. Not only will you get a repeat customer, you'll also likely get a few referrals.  We treat our clients like family.  Because they are.

Where to ask clients to review your services

The best source for trusted reviews are Google.  You may also see reviews on sites like Yelp so if you don't get an unsolicited review, make sure you are sending your clients to these pages and don't be afraid to ask them for one.  Chances are that they will be more than happy to write one for you.
