Are Business Cards Obsolete? We Don't Think So.

With so many impressive advances in technology, especially in the day-to-day business operations, it feels as if the old fashioned way of sharing contact information while networking has disappeared like the wind. Because of this, trusty little slips of colorful 16 pt card stock with our pertinent contact information as know as business cards, have gotten a bad rap.

We aren’t just wholeheartedly disagreeing because we offer custom business card designs or because we’ve some pretty cool ones if we do say so ourselves 🙂. We disagree because of the impact business cards can have while out at a networking event, trade show, business meeting, conference or just a random run in with a stranger while out in public.

Nowadays, digital business cards are all the rage, same with simply verbally sharing your LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram profiles and following each other on the spot. However, a well designed and functional business card can leave a lasting memory on someone upon discussing and pushing your brand. The quality and look of a card can give off a true sense of professionalism and state that you mean business and you take your brand seriously.

We created a card for our clients at iLLustratiVe Cre8ions (IIV8) who once handed a card to a friend, and said friend was so enamored with the look and feel of the card, that they wanted to actually purchase the business card. Crazy right? 🤪 

You’ll see that we matched the look of this particular business card with the customized retractable banners we also created for the IIV8. The design of this card heavily represents elements of the brand and also creatively shows some examples of the company’s work.
