Do you ever think about the fact that everyday you get dressed to go about your day, that you’re doing free advertising for million and billion dollar companies? Or just a different brand than your own altogether? Have you ever thought about all of the various ways you could promote your business without even saying a word? The more eyes that can be laid upon your logo, slogan and company URL, the better.

How cool is it to know that you can control how the outside world perceives your brand just by seeing you walk down the street or by simply having a casual 3 minute conversation with someone while on the go? And all without having to spend a crazy amount of money in marketing.

Below are a few key reminders of how you have the power to represent your brand and divert attention to your business every single day.

Tip#1: Wear Your Brand -- At All Times

This is the #1 and most impactful way to act as a walking billboard for your business. Believe it or not, we even have a few clients who have tattooed some of our designs and logos on their bodies. That is the epitome of becoming a walking billboard.

As we mentioned before, while you’re out wearing your favorite name brand clothing, accessories and shoes, why not sport your very own brand? You don’t have to have an apparel line to do so either. Headed to a networking party that requires professional attire? Get a custom lapel pin made with your logo to wear on your blazer. We are in the midst of a global pandemic that requires the wearing of a mask at all times, why not get a custom mask made with your company logo?

If you’re running errands, grabbing a bite to eat, headed to the gym or out walking your dog, try to make a concerted effort to wear something that promotes your brand. Make it recognizable and trendy at the same time. It makes us incredibly proud to see our clients really grasp and understand the importance of branding and drive home the walking billboard concept. You can check out a few examples below.

Tip#2: Deck Out The “Company” Car

This point may not count as “walking” but hey, it still counts towards advertising on the move 🤓. Depending on your marketing and operating budget, wrapping your vehicle or a company vehicle is a great idea for added exposure to your business. If that’s a bit too much to handle financially, consider getting a car magnet designing. Car magnets should be consistent with your brand and should have the business name, logo and phone number and/or URL bold, large and clearly visible while driving.

Tip #3: Speak With Confidence, Smile And Look The Part

If you are the Founder and Owner, CEO, COO, VP or some type of representative of a business, it's imperative to always carry yourself in a professional, respectful and approachable manner. Remember, a cool logo isn’t the only thing that represents a brand — YOU are also the brand. Be prepared at all times to be able to strike up a conversation with a stranger who inquires about your business or who sounds like they may be in need of your services. If you’re personable and engaging, it's a guarantee they’ll remember your name, face and what it is that you do. Oh, and don’t forget to hand them a business card. 🙂

Do you need a custom business card? No, not the one that you get from Vistaprint that a million of other people have? We mean one unique to you? Schedule a time to speak with us.
